I made this book for my friend Odile. She is a professor of anatomy in Paris. The theme is a play on the word crocodile, and her name, Odile. This blank journal includes some drawings I made of steampunk mechanical crocodiles making this an anatomy reference of sorts, the Anatomia Crocodilia Mechanica.

The spine is Unryu and the cover is Lokta.

Here are some detail photos of a series of large ruled journals that I completed recently for Organic Valley. The covers are built out of book boards wrapped with a new Neenah sheet that is a subset of the Environment series. This sheet is called called “Grocer’s Kraft,” and It’s part of a group of 4 sheets labeled “Raw.” Each  “Raw” color has a unique textured surface. Kraft has a rough tough feel to it, almost abrasive.

The book pages are a glued construction called a fan-fold.
