In the last 15 years or so the Pont has become a bit more of a park-entertainment zone. Before that, for a few thousand years, it was pretty much left alone. OK, the trains, extra bridge and the dirigibles were my idea.
I have a lot of fun using a first-gen iPad to build background imagery for large format printing. In these examples poster color and texture are done using iPad apps at 1024×768 at only 72ppi. The posters are printed at a minimum of 11×17 inches and 300 ppi.
I do the “key” art on paper. The iPad background is exported to Photoshop with the key layer on top. This hides most of the low-res artifacting visible in the iPad art.
